The Fifth China-Japan-Korea International Symposium on Ring Theory.
will be held from September 10 to 15, 2007 in Tokyo, JAPAN.
This is the second announcement of the symposium.
This symposium was planned in the last symposium held in Nanjing, China 2004.
Many participants are expected to attend this symposium to develop Ring Theory.

Schedule: This symposium starts in the morning of September 11 (Tue.) and ends in the
afternoon of September 14 (Fri.). September 15(Sat.) is reservred for sightseeing or shopping, etc.

Background of the symposium
The symposium is held every 4 years on a rotating basis. The first symposium was held in 1991 in Guilin, China. In 1995 the second symposium took place in Okayama, Japan.
At the second symposium it was decided to include Korea, who hosted the symposium of 1999.

Goal of the symposium
The purpose of the symposium is to contribute to the development of ring theory
and to strengthen the ties of friendship and mutual understanding among ring theorists in China, Japan and Korea.
Experts from some other countries will be expected to attend the symposium.

Registration
Registration fee: 15,000 Japanese Yen (About US$150) for each participant;
10,000 Japanese Yen (About US$100) for each accompany person.
Registration fee is paid upon arrival. W e normally expect that
participants will arrive on September 10 (Mon.) and depart on September 16 (Sun.), 2007.
The registration fee covers soft drinks, banquet, local sightseeing during this symposium,
but does not cover meals.

Abstracts
One page (A4 size) abstract of contributed presentations will be printed in a booklet which will be distributed to all participants.
As far as possible, author(s) should make full use of the page to give the readers a
complete account of their work. It is preferred that abstracts should be prepared using a LaTex
style file. Abstracts (including titles and affiliations) should be submitted by email to

The deadline for receipt of all abstracts is
July 15, 2007.

Proceedings
The proceedings of this symposium will be published by World Scientific. All papers
submitted to the proceedings will be refereed to achieve a high scientific level.

Accommodation
During this symposium, all participants stay in National Olympic Memorial Youth Center.
The cost of accommodation per person will be in the following. (Remark that it is not definite.)
Plan D: Single room with bath room and every meal except Sunday: 35,000 Yen
(i.e., Breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday dinner to Saturday dinner)
Plan A: Single room with shared bath room and every meal except Sunday: 23,000 Yen
(i.e., Breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday dinner to Saturday dinner)
Plan C: Double room with shared bath room and every meal except Sunday: 23,000 Yen
(i.e., Breakfast, lunch and dinner from Monday dinner to Saturday dinner)
Notice: Before you choose Plan C, you need to find a room mate with the same gender.
In this accommodation facility, each compartment is separated for males and females
and each other is prohibited to enter to the other compartment.
For Plan A and Plan C, they are self-service basis and you need to clean your room by your self before you check out.

Visas
Normally visa is not required for short stay usually within 90 days except CHINESE
RESIDENCE. For Chinese participants, the main organizer will send an invitation letter
to individual participant in which all the items are written to apply for Japanese Visa to
Japanese embassy or a Japanese consulate in China. For more information, refer to the web page

Climate of Tokyo (September)
September is the beginning of Autumn. But in Tokyo it is still hot.
The temperature in daytime is about 28 degrees Celsius or 82 degrees Fahrenheit.
But all the buildings and transportation are air-conditioned,
so you can stay and go anywhere comfortably.

Bank services
Japanese Yen is the only currency used in Japan.
Money exchanges by cash or traveler's cheques can be made at any Bank in towns or at airports.
If you arrive by airplane, you should better first obtain some Japanese money at Bank in the Airport,
so as to be able to pay for taxi and other minor costs.

How to reach National Olympic Memorial Youth Center
There are three main International Airports (Narita, Kansai, Central Japan International
Airport) in Japan for airlines from China, Korea and pacific area.

Local transportation
National Olympic Memorial Youth Center is located in the center of down town area in
Tokyo, but it is quiet and comfortable. There are many public transportation like subway lines,
commutator railway lines and bus lines. The frequency of service is for every few minutes.
