A Euroconference
'' Homological Invariants in Representation Theory ''
will be held
March 16 - 20, 1999
at the University of Ioannina (Greece).
Talks will start on Tuesday, March 16, at 9:00 am and end on Saturday,
March 20, at 17:00 pm.

The scientific committee consists of

M. C. R. Butler (Liverpool),
J. A. de la Pena (Mexico),
A. Skowronski (Torun).

The conference is an instructional conference in the framework of the
Training and Mobility of Researchers program of the European Union. Its
main subject is the use of homological techniques in the representation
theory of finite-dimensional algebras and finite groups.
There will be 6 introductory minicourses consisting of 3 lectures each.

Cohomology of finite groups, by A. Adem (Wisconsin)
The abelian defect group conjecture, by M. Broue (Paris)
Derived categories of tame algebras and quadratic forms, by J. A. de la
Pena (Mexico)
Introduction to A-infinity algebras, by B. Keller (Paris)
Invariance of tameness under stable equivalence, by H. Lenzing (Paderborn)
Quasi-tilted algebras, by I. Reiten (Trondheim)
In addition, there will be nine advanced lectures. The speakers are P.
Draexler (Bielefeld), P. Gabriel (Zurich), D. Happel (Chemnitz), H. Krause
(Bielefeld), A. Linckelmann (Paris), M. Saorin (Murcia), A. Skowronski
(Torun), S. Smalo (Trondheim)
and L. Narvaez Macarro (Sevilla, to be confirmed),

The Euroconference is financially supported by the TMR-program of the
European Union. Special funds are available for allowing young researchers
from member states of the European Union to participate (see the
registration form).
