New conference facilities have been built on the seaside in the proximity of the hotels. The beach promenade, where the conference building and most of the hotels are situated, is one of the most picturesque areas in Romania. The registration fee will be US $ 50 for the workshop and US $ 50 for the conference, US $ 40 each if registration is made before 1st June 2000 (a registration form will be available at our conference site or by e-mail in due time). For students and residents of former Eastern countries the registration fee will be US $ 25 for the conference and US $ 25 for the workshop, US $ 20 each if registration is made before 1st June 2000. This fee includes coffee, a trip to the wine-growing estate Murfatlar near Constanta on the Sunday between the first and the second week of the workshop (August 6) and a trip to the center of Constanta with a guided tour of the Ovid museum on the Wednesday afternoon of the conference. Hotel prices are currently (August 1999): best, 4-star hotel: 80-100 US $ per night medium, 3-star hotel: 50-60 US $ per night 2-star hotel: 30 US $ per night student's dormitory: 5-8 US $ per night (3-bed room, shower, toilet) On the weekend after the conference we are planning an optional two-day boat ride through the delta of the Danube 200 km north of Constanta, and after that a five-day trip across Romania (please note that the ICRA and workshop in Beijing will take place on August 21 - September 1). These trips are not included in the registration fee and will cost about $ 100 - $ 150 per day.
