		       May 16 -- 19, 2001

An international conference on Algebra will be held at the
Department of Pure Mathematics of Queen's University Belfast, 
Northern Ireland during the period of May 16--19, 2001. This
meeting is a joint venture of the Mathematics Departments at
Queen's University Belfast and the National University of 
Ireland at Cork, Dublin, and Galway.

Organising Committee:

  Martin Mathieu  (Belfast; chair)
  Martin Newell  (Galway).

The meeting is supported by, among others, the London Mathematical
Society and the Irish Mathematical Society.

The final programme will consist of eight one-hour talks by

  Alberto Facchini, Universita di Padova
        
  Robert M. Guralnick, University of Southern California
        
  Consuelo Martínez, Universidad de Oviedo

  Manuel Saorín, Universidad de Murcia
