Second Announcement
The International Conference on Radicals (ICOR-2003) will be held
in Kishinev, the capital of the Republic of Moldova, from August 10,
2003 (day of arrival) till August 17, 2003 (day of departure). The
purpose of the Conference is to discuss the recent development of
theory of radicals in different algebraical systems, applications and
related problems. ICOR-2003 is dedicated to the memory of the
prominent specialist in theory of radicals Professor Vladimir A.
Andrunachievici.
The lectures will start on Monday, August 11 in the morning and
finish on Saturday, August 16. There will be a few invited hour
lectures and every participant is invited to present his recent
research results in 25 minutes talk or in 15 minutes short
communication.
Everyone who wishes to make a report is kindly asked to inform the
Organizing Committee about its title and to send one page abstract in
English encoded in AmS-TeX or in LaTeX. Abstracts should be sent
till 15.05.2003.
The Organizing Committee is also intending to issue the
Proceedings of the Conference. Articles for the publication encoded
in AmS-TeX or in LaTeX could be sent to the Organizing Committee in a
good time or brought along to the Conference.
The registration fee is 50 US$ for the participants and 40 US$ for
the accompanying persons (this funds are aimed for publishing of
abstracts and program of the Conference, for local transport expenses
in the days of arrival and of departure, for the purchase of the
stationery, for coffee-breaks and renting of auditoriums).
Participants can be accommodated in the city hotels or in the
student hostel in according to their wish. The prices are, as a
rough guide, the following:
student hostel -- 2 US$ per night for a person;
** hotel, single room -- 20 US$ per night;
double room -- 25 US$ per night;
*** hotel, single room -- 50 US$ per night;
double room -- 60 US$ per night.
There are also other variants of a more cheep or a more expensive
accommodation in city hotels.
Participants are kindly asked to inform the Organizing Committee
about their wishes on the accommodation till 15.05.2003.
Dinners are planned for all the participants and accompanying persons
who wishes to. The
price of one dinner is supposed to be approximately 3 US$.
A social program is planned for all the participants and
accompanying persons who wishes to and every event is proposed for
the additional pay.
The following events are proposed:
1. A welcome party -- 20 US$;
2. An excursion to a famous wine factory with wine-tasting -- 50 US$;
3. A day-trip to an old fortress (town of Soroka) with a dinner -- 35
US$;
4. An afternoon-trip to the excavation of an ancient town with a
dinner -- 30 US$;
5. Attending of some museums of the city -- free of charge.
Participants are kindly asked to inform the Organizing Committee
about their wishes on the involvement in the above named events till
15.05.2003.
The registration of the participants of the conference is going
on. We kindly ask You to confirm the reception of this message and
inform the Organizing Committee about Your involvement in the
Conference.
An official invitation will be sent by mail to everyone who
confirms his wish to take part in the Conference. The Organizing
Committee kindly asks every participant to fill up the item ``mailing
address'' of the registration form.
